APC's Matrix-Ups is a state-of-the-art, line-interactive UPS designed foruse where multiple servers, hubs/bridges/routers telecom equipment,and/or minicomputers need to be protected by a single UPS. Matrix-UPS isexpandable, allowing the addition of multiple SmartCell battery packs togain hour of extended runtime. In addition, both the SmartCelll batterypacks and the electronics portion of Matrix are hully hot-swappable,providing a "100% uptime" design. When used in conjuction with Share-UPSand PowerChute plus (or 'native' UPS monitoring), one Matrix-UPS canprotect and provide a safe system shutdown for up to 15 servers in aheterogeneous OS environment. Through APC's PowerNet products, Matrix-UPSis fully SNMP manageable. Matrix-UPS comes in 3 and 5VA models,requires input of either 208 or 240 VAC, and will provide output of 120,208, and 240 VAC. Matrix-UPS has a $25, lifetim equipment protectionpolicy.
